Team Knights entered the semifinal round of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament for the second straight season after defeating Mille, 83-74 on Saturday, August 31 at the Asia Pacific College Gymnasium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Knights will be waiting for the winner of the Alpha-Titans knockout quarterfinal game to determine their opponent in the semifinals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jhonel de Luna of Knights contributed 27 points, with 13 rebounds and 3 assists. Mark Rivera had another double-double game with 20 points and 15 rebounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mille’s Ton Ulanday scored 25 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both teams slugged it out for the lead in the first quarter. However, Mille’s key players Ulanday and Jarret Adam, got in foul trouble early. Knights pulled away in the fourth quarter with a comfortable margin after three Mille players were fouled out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The semifinal round will begin on September 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
