Team Titans completed a come from behind victory against defending champions Team Knights, 80-78, at the continuation of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 7 men’s elimination round on Saturday, May 13 at the APC Gymnasium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Team Knights were leading most of the game by as much as 14 points in the third quarter and with only eight players available in their roster. The Titans inched closer and made the game close fueled by an 8-0 run. They were able to take the lead with less than 3 minutes in the fourth quarter and hold on to it until the final buzzer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rainiel Montaril marked his debut with the Titans with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Last season’s Rookie of the Year Justine Hernando scored 14 points with 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Anton Besana contributed 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals in his first game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the Knights, Carlo Aboboto scored 36 points with 17 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. Nonoy Sonbise comes in second with 10 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Titans will be back in action on May 27 as they face Team Sibak while the Knights will face Richmond Oilers on June 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
