Team Knights won their second APCRAA Basketball Tournament championship, unseating defending champions Krispy Team, in Game 3 of their Finals series, 87-80, on Saturday, September 21, at the APC Gymnasium.
The Knights are now one of only three teams in league history to win the championship more than once.
Team captain Jhonel de Luna was named as the Finals MVP, after averaging 18.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists during the playoffs. Nonoy Sonbise was the top scorer for the Knights in Game 3, finishing with 14 points, including back-to-back three point shots to push the Knights lead further in the second half.
For the Krispy Team, Guess dela Cuesta scored a season-high 34 points, with 11 rebounds. Brix Estabillo added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.
